In 2026, CLTASA proudly launches the Teacher & Pre-service Teacher Awards to honour educators who demonstrate sustained dedication, active engagement, and meaningful contribution to our professional community.
These awards are established not only to recognise excellence, but more importantly to acknowledge the commitment, leadership, and service that strengthen Chinese language education across South Australia.
Behind every successful event, every thriving student initiative, and every growing professional network are educators who generously contribute their time, expertise, and energy. These awards celebrate those who help shape and sustain our Association community.

Purpose of the Awards
The awards aim to:

Recognise educators who actively engage in CLTASA activities and initiatives

Acknowledge educators who support and lead student involvement in association programs

Support emerging educators who demonstrate initiative and commitment

Strengthen our collective dedication to advancing Chinese language education in SA
Award Categories & Eligibility Criteria
CLTASA Award for Excellence (One-three recipients annually)
The Award for Excellence recognises educators who demonstrate outstanding professionalism, sustained engagement, and meaningful contribution to the CLTASA community.
Applicants must:

Be a current financial member of CLTASA

Demonstrate consistent and active participation in CLTASA events and initiatives
-
Actively support and encourage student involvement in Association programs
-
Show leadership, collaboration, and commitment within the professional community
-
Uphold high standards of professional conduct and dedication to Chinese language education
CLTASA Pre-service Teacher Contribution Award (One recipient annually)
The Pre-service Teacher Contribution Award recognises emerging educators who demonstrate initiative, engagement, and a strong commitment to professional growth within the CLTASA community.
Applicants must:

Be a current pre-service teacher (or within their first year of teaching)

Be a current CLTASA member

Demonstrate active participation in CLTASA activities and initiatives

Show initiative, professionalism, and commitment to developing as a Chinese language educator
-
Contribute positively to the Association community where possible
