Organizing our annual awards ceremony in 2022 was no easy task for our 2022-2023 committee. We encountered numerous challenges that threatened to derail the event. ACMA(SA) had an inspirational beginning, established to provide public representation and a collective voice for South Australian doctors and medical professionals with Chinese heritage, and to encourage its members to share professional knowledge, skills and social interests with each other. The pioneering Schubert Family planted vineyards in the Barossa Valley at their Roennfeldt Road estate in 1915. The fruit attracted strong interest from nearby wineries, admired for its quality and intense flavour. In 2000, a small parcel was retained yielding a single barrel of wine.
