Adelaide Film Festival

You might be aware that the Adelaide Film Festival has just launched a new student-focussed film festival: AFF Youth, which is all about introducing school-aged students in South Australia to the possibilities of a career in the burgeoning creative industries, and fostering a love of film. We’ve just released our program for 25-30 July 2021, which you can have a look through here: https://adelaidefilmfestival.org/aff-youth/ In there you'll find film screenings, industry leader presentations and Q&A sessions, virtual reality (VR) sessions and a Creative Industries Expo.

Of particular interest to members of the Chinese Language Teachers' Association of SA might be:

Curtain Up! (English and Mandarin language, documentary, for ages 10+)

Tue 27 July and Fri 30 July

Education resources have been developed, and more will be added to, which link directly to the Australian Curriculum to explore ideas and issues within the films and support students to engage with the content of the films they are attending: https://adelaidefilmfestival.org/aff-youth/teaching-resources/
